In summary, we propose a working model whereby cAMP‐hydrolyzing PDE inhibitors, such as dipyridamole and cilostazol, increase cAMP levels and inhibit SREBP2 activation via independent mechanisms, both of which converge to potentiate statin‐induced apoptosis in hematological cancer cells (Fig. 5).
