OXT and pulmonary arterial hypertension: A heat-stable formulation of carbetocin,54 an oxytocin analogue which is already widely used for the prevention of PPH after caesarean delivery, has very recently been added to the WHO Essential Medicines List for use in PPH.1 If the announcement of its manufacturer is put into practice that the price of this product will be made comparable to that of oxytocin in LMICs,55 then this medicine may become a further valuable option to ensure good-quality medication against PPH also in facilities where storage at 2–8°C cannot be ensured.
