CXCL9 and cancer: For each cancer type, we also correlated both the relative (Supplementary Data 9) and tumor purity-scaled (Supplementary Data 10) cell fractions at the sample level with known metrics representative of cytotoxic T cells and natural killer cells, such as the 10-gene IFN-γ score (IFNG, STAT1, CCR5, CXCL9, CXCL10, CXCL11, IDO1, PRF1, GZMA, and MHCII HLA-DRA)26 and a cytolytic activity score (average expression of PRF1 and GZMA)27.
