In a sample of non-student women of reproductive age, we investigated the relationship between facial attractiveness and: (1) serum lipid profile (total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein (HDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL), triglycerides levels), (2) glucose homeostasis markers [glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C), HOMA-IR score (homeostatic model assessment for insulin resistance), the connecting peptide (C-peptide)], (3) liver enzymes [alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST)], and (4) non-specific inflammation markers [high sensitivity CRP (hsCRP), IL-6]. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and Insulin resistance.
