We identified seven risk factors for allopurinol-induced SCARs, with significant difference and high ORs between SCAR and control groups: female sex, age > 65 years, history of allopurinol-induced skin reaction, high starting dose of allopurinol, concomitant diuretics intake, eGFR < 60 ml/min/1.73 m2, and HLA-B*58:01 positivity (Table 3).
