Similarly, symptomatic patients and those with CD4 count ≤ 200, the odds of depression was 2.51 [AOR = 2.51, 95% CI (1.38, 4.56)] and 5.94 [AOR = 5.94, 95% CI (2.68, 13.62)] times higher compared to those who were clinically stable and had higher CD4 count, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and major depressive disorder.
