The Capecitabine for Residual Cancer as Adjuvant Therapy (CREATE-X) trial, enrolling patients in Japan and Korea with HER2-negative breast cancer and residual invasive disease after NACT, demonstrated an improvement in 5‐year overall survival (89.2% vs. 83.6%, HR 0.59, p = 0.01) by the addition of further adjuvant chemotherapy with capecitabine [3]. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast carcinoma.
