The transactive response DNA‐binding protein 43 (TDP‐43) is a neuropathological marker for frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,3 and is found in up to 57% of the patients with a neuropathological diagnosis of AD.3, 4, 5.
