Contrastingly, TRIM24 was reported to act as a tumour suppressor in murine hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by dysregulating retinoic acid receptor (RAR) signalling, and it was later shown that TRIM24, TRIM28 and TRIM33 can form regulatory complexes to suppress murine HCC [16,17].
