Glioblastoma is a complex disease which involves multiple genetic alterations including mutations of multiple genes such as p53, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR), isocitrate dehydrogenase-1 (IDH1), mouse double minute homolog 2 (MDM2), and phosphate and tensin homolog (PTEN) [9,10,11,12,13,14,15]. The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is glioblastoma.
