ERBB2 and breast carcinoma: In the TH3RESA trial [27], for patients with unresectable, locally advanced, metastatic or recurrent HER2+ breast cancer, who had progressed while on two HER2-directed therapies (herceptin and lapatinib), kadcyla resulted in an improvement in progression-free survival (6.2 vs. 3.3 months; HR 0.53, 95% CI 0.42–0.66) and improvement in overall survival (22.7 vs. 15.8 months; HR 0.68, 95% 0.52–0.85).
