To assess whether high expression of two X-linked genes—KDM6A and ATRX—have a survival advantage, we stratified melanoma patients based on the median expression of KDM6A and ATRX. High ATRX was associated with improved survival regardless of KDM6A expression level and vice versa (Figure 2b), showing that ATRX is an independent predictor of survival, which was confirmed by univariate and multivariate cox regression analysis (Figure 2c). This evidence concerns the gene ATRX and melanoma.
