The work of Jung et al. [242] and Wijesinghe [243] demonstrated that phlorofucofuroeckol A (isolated from E. stolonifera) and dieckol (isolated from E. cava) have a high inhibition against the ACE in in vitro assays, ameliorating the hypertension symptoms and the risk of development of more life-risking treats. This evidence concerns the gene ACE and hypertensive disorder.
