Albumin levels were also positively correlated with the absolute number of lymphocytes (r = 0.368, p < 0.001), and negatively correlated with inflammatory markers such as procalcitonin (r = –0.555, p < 0.001), LDH (r = −0.443, p = 0.002), CRP (r = −0.390, p = 0.006), troponin I (r = −0.321, p = 0.026), ferritin (r = −0.506, p < 0.001) and MCV (r = −0.424, p = 0.003) among COVID-19 patients.
