One report demonstrates that the co-localization of viral protein EBNA2, and B-cell-specific transcription factor EBF1 at the miR-34a promoter, leads to the repression of miR-34a, which targets the PDl1 3′UTR in Burkitt lymphoma (BL) and Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) cells [36].
