In an investigation of how resveratrol alters EMT regulation using BxPC-3 and PANC-1 pancreatic cancer cell lines, it was found that resveratrol inhibits the cellular proliferation, migration, and invasion in a dose-dependent manner via targeting the expression of EMT-related genes such as E-cadherin, N-cadherin, vimentin, MMP-2 and MMP-9, as well as PI3K/Akt/NF-κB signaling pathways [104]. Here, AKT1 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
