Although we confirmed that DSCAM-AS1 promoted DCTPP1 transcription by modulating histone acetylation, an interesting phenomenon was that DCTPP1 expression was still regulated by DSCAM-AS1 when cell transcription was inhibited by Actinomycin D. In the mRNA stability assay, Actinomycin D was added to BC cells to prevent cell transcription; therefore, mRNA levels in cells decreased with time due to mRNA degradation. This evidence concerns the gene DSCAM-AS1 and breast cancer.
