This site is not a direct enhancer of GABPB1, and concordantly rs71124350 and rs28489579 do not have an eQTL association with GABPB1. As the minor alleles of both rs71124350 and rs28489579 are also associated with a small decrease in breast cancer risk (Table 6), these findings suggest that the decrease in GABPB1-AS1 expression associates with decreased breast cancer risk. This evidence concerns the gene GABPB1 and breast cancer.
