Previous studies by Wang et al. [40] have shown that in human neuroblastoma cells romidepsin upregulated p75NTR mRNA by inducing the depletion of the histone methyltransferase EZH2, the catalytic subunit of the polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2), with the consequent derepression of the transcription factor CASZ1, which positively regulates p75NTR transcription by binding to the NGFR promoter [41]. This evidence concerns the gene PRDM9 and neuroblastoma.
