Previously, we reported that MUC16 is overexpressed in pancreatic, breast and lung cancer (Haridas et al., 2011; Lakshmanan et al., 2012; Muniyan et al., 2016) and promotes a rapid G2/M checkpoint transition through its interaction with JAK2/STAT3, leading to accelerated proliferation. This evidence concerns the gene JAK2 and lung carcinoma.
