Regarding biomarkers associated with the inflammatory response in ischemic stroke (Figure 1G), SELE (45.94 ± 11.02 vs. 16.13 ± 2.57 ng/mL, p = 0.019) and ICAM1 (35.19 ± 6.27 vs. 18.12 ± 2.23 mg/dL, p = 0.023) levels were significantly higher in patients with unfavorable outcomes (mRS 3–6) as compared to those with favorable outcomes (mRS 0–2). Here, SELE is linked to ischemic stroke.
