Interestingly, two of the main KIT mutants identified in CBF-AML, KITD816V and KITN822K [71], generate different downstream signaling pathways, since KITD816V activates SFKs, whereas KITN822K activates ERK, a pathway that is downregulated by KITD816V (and KITWT) [63,70].
