Seven drugs were identified as suppressors of vps13∆ growth defect and two showing some structural similarities were selected for further analysis: luteolin, a naturally occurring flavonoid present in many fruits and vegetables, and tolcapone, a drug used to treat PD, which is a reversible nitrocatechol-type inhibitor of catechol-O-methyltransferase [51] (Figure 1).
