PTH and migraine disorder: Perhaps due to a variety of reasons (e.g., lack of specific training on PTH; insufficient time with patients), PCPs may be quick or late to refer patients to higher levels of care, oversimplify diagnosis (e.g., PTH vs. migraine PTH), not obtain a complete headache history, focus on pharmacological or non-pharmacological approaches rather than consider a combined treatment, or provide only limited patient education that is critical to PTH treatment and management.
