PLK1 and posterior cortical atrophy: While the nocodazole treatment led to a robust phosphorylation of FOXO1 by PLK1, the co-treatment caused significant reduction of FOXO1 phosphorylation as well as a strong induction in the expression of Bim, a downstream target of FOXO1, which further substantiates our working hypothesis and validates the mechanism of action of this novel combination therapy for advanced PCa (Figure S4).
