It was found that there was no significant change in the protein levels of precursors of caspase-11 (pro-caspase-11) and cleaved caspase-11 of the rats in the cardiac arrest group compared to that in the sham group (Fig. 3d-f), indicating that it is the canonical NLRP3 inflammasome that mediates the microglia pyroptosis in the rats after cardiac arrest, and caspase-1 but not caspase-11 is involved in the process.
