In another study with CML cell line K562 and its IM resistant variant (K562‐R) the methylation levels were found to be significantly higher and that the gene expression levels were significantly lower for MLH1, RPRM, FEM1B, and THAP2 in K562‐R cells when compared to parental K562 cells. This evidence concerns the gene FEM1B and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
