Genes with decreased expression in tumours with CNAs compared to those without CNAs included the putative DNA/RNA helicase SLFN11, the ECM protein PRELP, the high density lipoprotein component APOD, and the secreted chaperone CLU. Although these have all been linked with altered expression in other neoplasms before, this has typically been upregulation and potentially linked to neoplastic progression [36–40], including in ovarian cancer for APOD and CLU [41, 42]. Here, CLU is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
