In the context of ovarian cancer, the above described VSV-GP vector, where the VSV-G protein was replaced by the lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) envelope glycoprotein, showed oncolytic activity both in ovarian cancer cell lines (A2780, HTB77, SKOV6, HOC7, OVCAR3, ID8 and HOSE) and in mice with A2780 tumor xenografts [114]. This evidence concerns the gene ERVW-1 and ovarian cancer.
