Furthermore, the expression of HPV oncoprotein-associated master regulators was determined and their effect on the functionality of the immune system in cervical cancer was analyzed (99); thus, a positive correlation (p < 0.001) was reported between certain HPV-induced master regulators, specifically ENO1, FOSB, PA2G4, SOX9, TEAD4, FOXO4, and MNT, in cervical cancer samples (n = 306) in comparison with normal cervix (n = 11) tissue obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA).
