In the present study, we focused on examining the anti-cancer potential of PIP to increase the effect of TMZ by measuring potent apoptosis markers such as cell proliferation, caspase-8/-9/-3 activation, cell cycle checkpoints,CDK4/6−cyclin D and CDK2−cyclin-E gene expression levels, JNK and p38 MAPK activation, delayed in vitro motility for wound healing, and mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) reduction in the human GBM cell lines. This evidence concerns the gene MAPK8 and glioblastoma.
