Cell treatment with the ferroptosis inhibitors, deferoxamine or ferrostatin, abolished the effect of DECR1 knockdown on PCa cell death (Figure 6H–I), while cell treatment with the ferroptosis inducers, erastin, FIN56 or ML210, enhanced the cytotoxic action of DECR1 downregulation (Figure 6J–K, Figure 6—figure supplement 1B). This evidence concerns the gene DECR1 and posterior cortical atrophy.
