Considering the fact that the collaboration among writers, erasers, and readers sets up the m6A threshold and perturbs that m6A threshold leads to uncontrolled expression/activity of virulence gene and results in the occurrence and development of diseases [31], our study suggested that the decreased METTL3, WTAP, ALKBH5, FTO, and YTHDF2 may play an important role in the pathogenesis of SLE.
