Considering the fact that the collaboration among writers, erasers, and readers sets up the m6A threshold and perturbs that m6A threshold leads to uncontrolled expression/activity of virulence gene and results in the occurrence and development of diseases [31], our study suggested that the decreased METTL3, WTAP, ALKBH5, FTO, and YTHDF2 may play an important role in the pathogenesis of SLE. This evidence concerns the gene FTO and systemic lupus erythematosus.
