Belinsky et al. reported the methylation detection of 8 selected genes (CDKN2, MGMT, DAPK1, RASSF1, GATA4, GATA5, PAX5α and PAX5β) in sputum and blood had prognostic value for recurrence in stage IA (pT1N0) or stage IB (pT2N0) NSCLC 24. The gene discussed is RASSF1; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
