MYC and hepatocellular carcinoma: As expected, western blot assay showed that the upregulated MYC protein level induced by lncCSMD1 was abolished by the siRNA in the two HCC cells (Figure 6C lower panel); more important, the increased cell proliferation (Figure 6C upper panel), invasion (Figure 6D), colony formation (Figure 6E) and migration (Figure S7) by lncCSMD1 overexpression were also completely attenuated by the siRNA against MYC compared with the control cells, indicating that lncCSMD1-induced oncogenic phenotypes are mediated by MYC protein.
