While there is limited information on the effects of Btzb on SOCS and STAT induction in the progression of chlamydial diseases, our result holds promise for a better understanding of the complexities of SOCS and other inflammatory pathways as utilized by Chlamydia and IL-10 for their opposing effects during an early Chlamydia infection and necessitate further investigations.
