ETBF-induced colon tumorigenesis is Tregs/IL-2/Th17-dependent,25 and ETBF-triggered colon tumorigenesis is associated with an IL-17-driven myeloid signature characterized by subversion of steady-state myelopoiesis in favor of the generation of protumoral monocytic (MO)-myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs).26 In the present study, we demonstrated that ETBF promoted colorectal tumorigenesis in both the AOM sporadic CRC model and a nude mouse xenograft model.
