GSEA suggested that most of the genes in subjects before bariatric surgery were mainly enriched in the toll-like receptor signalling pathway, the NOD-like receptor signalling pathway, cytokine-cytokine receptor interactions, the chemokine signalling pathway, the B cell receptor signalling pathway, the Jak-STAT signalling pathway, which have collectively been confirmed as essential mechanisms in inflammation of AT, thus contributing to the pathogenesis of insulin resistance. This evidence concerns the gene SOAT1 and Insulin resistance.
