Repeating this analysis with a prostate cancer-specific gene set generated by MYC overexpression in LNCaP cells [11], PRAD correlation with proliferation increased modestly (r = 0.5609, 95% C.I. 0.4972–0.6186, P < 0.0001), but was still below the median correlation coefficient (Supplementary Fig. 1). This evidence concerns the gene MYC and prostate cancer.
