AQP1 protein and RNA expression, upregulated in lung adenocarcinoma and bronchoalveolar carcinoma (but not in lung squamous cell carcinoma), was correlated with a high risk of postoperative metastasis and low disease-free survival rates, and therefore suggested to be a prognostic factor for stage categories and histologic differentiation of lung cancers [46,142,143,145,146]. Here, AQP1 is linked to lung carcinoma.
