Several studies reported the biological significance of B3GNT5‐mediated synthesis of glycolipids in B‐cell activation,6 pre‐implantation development,7 and development of nerve system,8, 9 The increased levels of B3GNT5 appear to be strongly correlated with the progression of breast cancer,10 lung cancer,11 and ovarian cancer.12 This evidence concerns the gene B3GNT5 and lung cancer.
