A number of scholars demonstrated that there were abnormal aggregation of inflammatory immune cells and cytokines in adenomyosis nodes, including dendritic cells, macrophages, neutrophils, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin 6 (IL-6), IL-8, nerve injury-induced protein1, and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) [4–6]. Here, PTGS2 is linked to adenomyosis.
