AKIP1 and gastric cancer: Univariate Cox's regression showed that tumor AKIP1 high expression was associated with reduced DFS (P = .005, hazard ratio [HR]: 1.635 [95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.163‐2.299]); meanwhile, higher pathological grade (P < .001, HR: 2.502 [95%CI: 1.836‐3.408]) and higher TNM stage (P < .001, HR: 1.931 [95%CI: 1.462‐2.550]) were associated with poorer DFS in gastric cancer patients, as well (Table 2).
