Functional pathway analysis of mRNAs targeted by CUSA-EV miRNAs (212 species DE in GBM relative to GII-III; p ≤ 0.05) showed clear associations to the GBM signaling pathway (Figure S2) and more broadly, ‘molecular mechanisms of cancer.’ Significant links to IL-6 inflammatory pathways and p53 signaling which play important roles in gliomagenesis [63,64,65,66] were also observed, as well as functional associations to tumor morphology, cell growth, proliferation and cellular movement that are pertinent features of highly infiltrative and aggressive GBMs. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and neoplasm.
