To gain insights into the breadth of effects of unacylated and potential predictors of response, the effect of 100 pM unacylated ghrelin was tested in a panel of breast cancer cell lines grown in 3D, including ER+/PR+/HER2- (MCF7, T47D), ER+/PR+/HER2+ (ZR-75), HER2+ (SKBR3), TNBC (MDA-MB-468, DU4475, MDA-MB-157, Hs578T, MDA-MB-231), and tamoxifen-resistant (LCC2) cells (Figure 1a–c). This evidence concerns the gene GHRL and breast carcinoma.
