Stasiukonyte, Liutkeviciene, Vilkeviciute, Banevicius, and Kriauciuniene (2017) have analyzed two other SNPs at the CYP2C19 (rs4244285) and CYP1A2 (rs762551) genes and only rs762551 showed statistically significant results: Rs762551 C/C genotype was more frequently detected in patients with early AMD than in the control group (32.7% vs. 21.6%, p = .011) and was associated with an increased risk of developing early AMD (OR = 1.759, 95% CI: 1.133–2.729; p = .012). This evidence concerns the gene CYP1A2 and age-related macular degeneration.
