As an independent prognostic marker, ALDH1A3 has been reported to have a positive impact in the overall survival time of cancer patients (e.g., NSCLC patients) (Shao et al., 2014[37]), whereas elevated ALDH1A3 was associated with worse prognosis in triple-negative breast cancers (Marcato et al., 2015[22]).
