CD4+ T lymphocyte content was correlated with the CDH1 H score in cases, while this was not the case in controls (Rho = 0.21, p = 0.044 in the whole cohort; Rho = 0.36, p = 0.009 for cases, Rho = − 0.03, p = 0.83 for controls, Spearman test), suggesting that, for cases, tumor cell differentiation state is linked with CD4+ T cell infiltration. This evidence concerns the gene CDH1 and neoplasm.
