In contrast, no significant association was found between HIF1A Pro582Ser polymorphism and diabetes under the allelic (OR = 0.76, 95% CI = 0.45-1.28; P = 0.301), homozygous (OR = 0.41, 95% CI = 0.07-2.51; P = 0.333), recessive (OR = 0.76, 95% CI = 0.47-1.22; P = 0.248) and dominant (OR = 0.41, 95% CI = 0.08-2.10; P = 0.287) genetic models. Here, HIF1A is linked to diabetes mellitus.
