The novel non-synonymous somatic mutations p.V1675G, p.V1649I, and p.P1398Q in conserved regions of the BCL6 co-repressor (BCOR) were found independently in 11.5% cases (three of this cohort), which is three times higher compared to those reported by Grossmann et al., where BCOR gene mutations were identified in 3.8% (10 of 262) of cytogenetically normal (CN) AML cases with poor response (Grossmann et al., 2011). This evidence concerns the gene BCOR and acute myeloid leukemia.
